The performers and audience of Discovery 2015 participated in a five-hour musical marathon. The festival started at 18.30 h and ended at 23.30 h. The Hall of Drama theater “Stoyan Bachvarov” Varna was filled and the audience sang and danced with the participants in the competitions and the guest stars.<\/p>\n

Two international juries evaluated the two competitions for song and performers. This year Bulgaria was represented only by one participant, a former favorite from the second season of “The Voice of Bulgaria”,\u00a0 Todor Gadjalov, who received a special award.<\/p>\n

The first prize in the International singer contest grabbed the wonder child of Croatia, Dino. The 23-year-old rocker has recorded 11 first awards in 11 international competitions; “Discovery” has become the twelfth victory. He also received the award of the audience, which voted in the concert hall. His performance of Show must go<\/i> exited the audience.<\/p>\n

The first prize in the International Song Contest went to Beat me out<\/i>, performed of Sira Mayo from Spain. Music, text and arrangement are by Gilberto Martin and Sarah Perez.<\/p>\n

\"Sira<\/a>Second prize in the singer contest the jury assigned to Jelena Vuchoevic from Serbia, whose performance of the song Listen<\/i> received applause even by the jury.<\/p>\n

In the Song contest second place was shared between the songs It’s okay<\/i> (Malta), written by Elton Zarb and Matthew Miksu and Piu di cosi<\/i> (Italy), with authors Gianni Valino and Cinzia Rosa.<\/p>\n

Third in the singer competition became Sira Mayo from Spain and Nursultan Karabaliev \u00a0from Kazakhstan and third place in the song contest took the song “Leave” of Vitaly Cherva from Russia.<\/p>\n

Traditionally it was awarded the prize “Miss Tourism Bulgaria” to the most beautiful female participant in the festival. The jury, which evaluated the beauties, was composed by Nasya Atanasova, CEO of media group “Black Sea”, “Maria Tsvetkova, producer of “Miss Tourism Bulgaria”, Dessislav Dimitrov, fashion manager and Krassimir Nedyalkov, designer and chairman of the jury. He presented the award to the winner Filomena Pisani from San Marino, which received a handmade necklace by the designer Evelina Peneva.<\/p>\n

The “Discovery” festival received a Congratulatory letter by the President of the World Association of festivals and artists WAFA, presented Secretary-General Robert Cefai. In the jury was also presented the Vice President of WAFA Gilberto Martin.<\/p>\n

PLEIAD OF GUEST STARS<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Lady<\/a><\/p>\n

Guest stars of “Discovery 2015” took a separate part of the festival program. First the stage was attacked by the British rap star Lady Leshurr, which titled her participation in Bulgaria in social media with hashtag Bulgariainvasion. She holds for a whileon stage and went into the audience.<\/p>\n

\"Teddy<\/a>The Bulgarian pop star, living in Sweden, Teddy Katsarova was a special guest of the festival, but also among members of the international jury. Her dynamic performance moved the audience, which sang also with the rock band “Fandango” and the Italian duo “Hit Italy”, which presented a mix of some of the most popular and loved Italian songs. But the big surprise was the performance of the Bulgarian folklore song\u00a0 “Little white cloud” in Italian language in hard rock arrangement. The most romantic voice of Bulgaria Stefan Mitrov presented the new song of Discovery president\u00a0 Dono Tsvetkov, “Sun”.<\/p>\n

\"Hit<\/a>\"94<\/a>The talented students by Nina Kosina from ballet “Art Dance” rejoiced the audience with spectacular dance performances, ballet and the main part in the presentation of the songs in the song contest.<\/p>\n

\"Art<\/a><\/p>\n

Last month in the accompanying program of “Discovery 2015” participated the Bulgarian pop stars Miro and Dessy Dobreva, the Latino band Tumbaito, the opera prima Boyka Vasileva, the guitar duo George Harizanov (guitar) and Ventsislav Stoyanov – Bago (bass guitar); the eight “Discovery” exhibition, presented sculptures and drawings by Nadia Antova. On May 19 in the auditorium of the University of Economics was presented the film “ABBA love, triumph, sections” with meeting with the author of the film and the book-journalist Georgi Toshev. The festival ended on May 21 with the broadcast of the film “Paris of Bogdana and meeting with the famous pop singer from the past Bogdana Karadocheva.<\/p>\n
